The Midterm Exam will cover everything up to and including section 4.2. It consists of 5 long answer
questions and some short answer questions. For the short answer questions, if your answer is right
you will get full marks whether work was shown or not. If your answer is wrong, we will look at
your work and see what part marks you can be given. For the long answer questions, part marks will
be given, and all work should be shown. In some cases, the entire mark may be based solely on the
work and not the answer. The long answer questions cover: Break-even analysis (12 marks), Compound
Interest and Investments (18 marks), limits and derivatives (12 marks), and continuity (12 marks).
